  11. I've recently purchased a 4x CD ROM for my A3000.  For the most part,
  12. it works fine.  However, I have noticed a couple unusual operating
  13. problems:

  15.     1. When the CD ROM is turned on, my system will not complete
  16.        the boot sequence until and unless a CD is placed in the
  17.        drive.
  18.  
  19.     2. When HDToolBox is invoked while there is a CD in the drive,
  20.        it hangs on SCSI address 4 (the ROM drive) until the CD
  21.        is removed.

  23. SCSI address 7 is the SCSI controller, 6 is the original hard drive,
  24. 5 is another (Quantum 700mb) internal hard drive, and 4 is the CD ROM.
  25. The CD ROM *is* terminated.  I'm pretty sure the internal drives are
  26. *not* terminated.  The CD drive is a 4x Sanyo external model CRD-254SH,
  27. and I'm using AsimCDFS C3 with it.

  29. Assuming there's someone out there still reading, is this normal
  30. behavior?  If not, can you suggest a course of action to fix it?
