- I've recently purchased a 4x CD ROM for my A3000. For the most part,
- it works fine. However, I have noticed a couple unusual operating
- problems:
-
- 1. When the CD ROM is turned on, my system will not complete
- the boot sequence until and unless a CD is placed in the
- drive.
-
- 2. When HDToolBox is invoked while there is a CD in the drive,
- it hangs on SCSI address 4 (the ROM drive) until the CD
- is removed.
-
- SCSI address 7 is the SCSI controller, 6 is the original hard drive,
- 5 is another (Quantum 700mb) internal hard drive, and 4 is the CD ROM.
- The CD ROM *is* terminated. I'm pretty sure the internal drives are
- *not* terminated. The CD drive is a 4x Sanyo external model CRD-254SH,
- and I'm using AsimCDFS C3 with it.
-
- Assuming there's someone out there still reading, is this normal
- behavior? If not, can you suggest a course of action to fix it?
-
- Thanks in advance...
- -Dave
